Applied Behaviorial Anaylsis
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
A.B.A stands for Applied Behavior Analysis. The evidence has been proven that ABA’s overall technique is powerfully effective for those on the Autistic spectrum. The key principal’s used in is based on reinforcement. By finding out what is fun and motivating we can use these rewards for when academic goals are reached and make learning fun and. Our understandingof ABA comes from B.F. Skinner’s adaptation of Verbal behavior. By using this method we teach necessary skills, which include Language, Cognitive, self-help, gross/fine motor skills as well as other academic skills. Learning is incremental and gradually builds upon previous knowledge. Programs aim to maintain knowledge that is taught and makes sure each skill is generalized. Results from teaching can be seen in the child’s learning and through the behavioral aspect of taking data and clearly finding out how a child learns and maintains his/her academics.
