Our Philosophy

At Excelsior, we embrace the unique talents and gifts of each student; our curriculum develops critical thinking skills through a pragmatic learn by doing approach. Children learn best when they are stimulated and engaged in the learning process.

In an effort to promote pragmatic skills and improve critical thinking, Excelsior developed the Excelsior Compass Technique (ECT). The Excelsior Compass Technique is a multi-modality approach utilizing the Socratic Method, Constructivism, Harkness Teaching, and Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences Model.

Our educational services include academic tutoring, adult education, enrichment program for kids, kids summer camp, and special education. Most of our programs utilize the innovative Excelsior Compass Technique.
